“This villa has an excellent location and beautiful scenery, with panoramic views of Table Mountain, Signal Mountain, and Camps Bay. It is a ten-minute drive from the Table Mountain Cable Car, Malay District, and Water Front. It is a few minutes walk to Camps Beach. You can eat and visit the supermarket. Both are more convenient. The area where the villa is located should belong to a high-end villa residential area, and the public security environment is better. The landlord is an elderly couple. They are very nice. Knowing that we are Chinese, I am afraid of poor communication, so I specially asked Chinese friends to ask about our accommodation needs and feelings. It can be described as very diligent. The villa facilities are very complete, there are cooks who can help prepare meals, but we chose to cook our own Chinese food, so we didn’t taste the cook’s craftsmanship. In addition, when we went in August, the weather was too cold to use the beautiful swimming pool, which is a small regret.”

“Absolutely everything! To live in Blinkwater Villa at Camps Bay and see the beach and the Table Mountain behind us every morning in great sunshine was remarkable. We were 5 adults 3 kids in 4 fantastic bedrooms with everything. A spacious living room, the pool and relaxing area around the pool. Everything very clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen – Amazing! Now to the best!! The service from Chris, Alma and Rebecca was the same as to stay at the very best 5-star hotel in the world. Not only they help prepare excursion, they help us with the recommendation to fantastic shops, restaurants, in Cape Town. Actually they help us more or less with everting. Thanks for everything guys. Bert, Marie, Fanny: Mikael, Filip, Ville, Vince and Mason, W´ll be back.”

“Perfect, there is no other word for this accommodation. From the word go Alma and Chris were excellent hosts, the staff were first class and the accommodation outstanding, we will most definitely return. Alma assisted in getting a chef and staff so we could entertain friends who stay in Cape Town so we had a dinner for 14 which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We also arranged for some spa treatments for the ladies out on the stoop in the brilliant sunshine. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. You can walk down to the beachfront and even catch and open top bus tour. Many thanks Chris and Alma and hopefully we will return soon.”

“The hosts Alma and Chris are very nice and helpful (happy to give tips, help with the organization of excursions). Great hospitality. The villa is very large and offers more than enough space for 8 people. You have enough opportunities for retreat. We arrived early in the morning in Cape Town and were able to come directly to the villa (because free) although the check in is only from 14 o’clock. We also got an “Erstbestückung” the kitchen. That means a bottle of red and white wine, water, fruit, juice, snacks, etc. The villa is quiet (at the end of Blinkwater road / dead end) and the location in Camps Bay is great. From the terraces you have a great view of Camps Bay Beach and the Lionshead. The entire area is very well maintained and the equipment (eg with glasses, plates, cutlery, tablecloths, etc.) in the villa was very good and plentiful. In addition, the entire interior is very tastefully decorated. There are four rooms in total. Each with its own bathroom. In addition, a guest toilet. Two of the rooms are on the ground floor and two upstairs. The villa is split in two, so that the hosts Alma and Chris live next door. Wi-Fi worked well. The pool is big enough that you can swim in it beautiful. Every day (except Sundays) has a house service to take care of everything (clean, make room, put away breakfast, dishes, etc.). The breakfast you have to do it yourself but there is a huge fridge and enough storage space for all food. Down the beach promenade there is a Pick’n’Pay supermarket where you can stock up on everything (except alcoholic beverages). Under the villa is a large garage. There you can park your car comfortably and safely. If we come back to Camps Bay we will definitely book the Blinkwater Villa again. The stay there we all very much.
In the Master Bedroom in EC, the toilet is in the room and not separate (there is no fan). This is unpleasant because the smell of a toilet visit in the room spread. Also, you do not want to be seen when you visit the toilet – there is no privacy. In one day it rained heavily. As a result, it has rained in over the skylights in the kitchen / living room area. Was not further problematic but something like that should not happen at the estimated price and the standard of the villa. These are two small flaws – but it did not really cloud our holiday pleasure in the Blinkwater Villa.
Management reply: We have ordered an opaque panel for the glass on the main shower which will result in privacy. The skylight leak has been fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience! Glad you enjoyed your stay!”

“I spent a week here with 4 friends who were jointly celebrating their respective 50th birthdays. Although the villa was largely used a base, it had everything we needed including spacious bedrooms (3 out of 4 have excellent views of part of Camps Bay, Lion’s Head & the edge of Table Mountain). The whole Villa was kept very clean by the maids and the owner Chris was extremely friendly & helpful. The villa is a 5-minute downhill stroll to Camps Bay, which for the benefit of first time visitors has a great beach but with the stunning backdrop of The Apostles (the back of Table Mountain) and Lion’s Head (another peak with a challenging climb if you have the time & inclination!). The 10m outdoor pool is small but adequate and the sun terrace loses the sun mid-afternoon in March; but that’s what the beach is for! 🙂 The villa is not for those on a budget but I’d highly recommend it for a holiday/birthday/anniversary treat and, with 4 double rooms, I’d say it was ideal for 4 singles, 3 or 4 couples or 2 families with no more than 2 children each.”

“Superb villa. All very friendly. The villa is walkable distance to the beach and all the amenities. The villa is kept clean daily by a lovely lady. The owners are very friendly and are always available if there is a problem. A wonderful two weeks was had there.”

“It is a wonderful villa and a wonderful stay. The location is excellent, the view is distinctive, the design of the villa is beautiful, its proximity to the supermarket, the restaurants, and the tools and appliances in the kitchen.”
The Wifi is weak in the upper part and is intermittent in the rest of the villa.
Management reply: We have moved over to an a fibre optic line in May 2017 therefor this issue of the Wifi has been resolved.”

“I chose the Blinkwater to host a decade birthday celebration with my partner and 5 other friends. I’d been to Cape Town twice before, and picked Camps Bay as the setting for the “newbies” to explore all that the Western Cape has to offer. The Villa is modern, clean and quiet. It is perfectly situated above Camps Bay, but we could still hear the ocean for the spacious outdoor pool and decks. The views from the Villa of the beach to the west, as well as Lions Head and Table Mountain, are spectacular. The bedrooms were spacious and bathrooms had all the amenities one could want. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and the right pots/pans and utensils for making any meal. We chose to do most breakfasts and dinners in the Villa. The built in Siemens espresso/coffee machine was a real treat for the coffee addicts! The Villa comes with staff (house cleaners) that were very thorough and professional, and made the stay more enjoyable and carefree. Cape Town and most attractions were a $4 Uber ride (or less), and the Hop on Hop Off bus – which is a great way to explore the area – has a stop in Camps Bay about 6 blocks from the Villa. Alma, Chris and Louis the house dog were terrific hosts!“

“The villa is spacious, luxurious yet comfortable, and with amazing views of Camp’s Bay and Table Mountain. The hosts are terrific; welcoming and very helpful. My family, including wife and two children and sister-in-law, had an amazing 4 days in Capetown, and the Blinkwater was a great home base. The floor plan is open and there is plenty of natural lighting through the floor to ceiling windows. We loved having breakfast in the bright dining area or outside on the main patio. The children loved having their own bedrooms and everything (kitchen, TVs, etc) is state of the art. We wished for warmer winter weather to enjoy the private pool, and – because there was so much to do in Capetown – we wished for more time to enjoy everything the Blinkwater had to offer. We were all sad to leave and can’t wait to return. I can’t imaging a better vacation rental for a large family in Capetown. As they say in South Africa: “Brilliant!” “

“Great property with stunning views. As a group of eight to find such a super property that met all our needs was a challenge but Villa Panacea delivered on all accounts. It was spacious and comfortable, with an excellently stocked kitchen and outdoor braai on the decking area for when we self catered (though there are plenty of good restaurants locally in Camps Bay). Every couple had a comfortable bedroom – we drew lots for the master bedroom as it was exceptional! The villa was serviced daily with a lovely housekeeper who was very happy to do laundry while we got out and about in the Cape Town area. It was a bit of a hike down and up to the Bay front (especially for those with dodgy knees!) but the view of the bay was superb and more than made up for a bit of effort. All in all a great place to stay for a group or family that really made it a special occasion.”

“Spacious beach house with GREAT views. This house is great for a big group of family, there is plenty of space and it is well equipped. Rooms are great with fantastic views and everything was spotless. One of the rooms lower down has a separate entrance which was perfect as we needed that for a couple with a toddle and it meant they could get away from the rest of us when they wanted. The only suggestion would be a small fridge in that room to make it more convenient to use the kitchenette in there. It is very close to the beach and has plenty of secure parking space at the house. Our host Ben was informative both before booking and during our stay. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks!“

“Our stay…was beautiful…amazing…memorable…refreshing…detoxing… Panacea is at abeautiful location, has an amazing garden. The rooms are beautiful and clean. When we arrived we were welcomed by Alma and we had a bottle of wine to toast to our arrival, we had fresh bread and cupcakes. Their kitchen had a great starter pack foods all from woollies and more. Easy to access shops and restaurants and to the beach all in a walking distance. It doesn’t matter which bedroom you choose…you still have the best view of the beach…I will definitely go back to Panacea and will also recommend it to all my friends and families. Alma and team thank you very much for making our stay so memorable…I didn’t like the fact that I had to leave Panacea and come back home…”

“THE VIEW, THE HOST, THE VILLA IS AMAZING! Alma made our stay very special by welcoming us with a bottle of wine, loved the espresso machine and facilities was always clean. Everything we needed for our stay was at the property. I would recommend this property for a group of friends, family and business. The VIEW IS AMAZING, EVERYTHING AS PER PICTURE.”

“We stayed here in mid June, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the summer weather and the beach. Nevertheless, the house met our expectations as it was immaculate, with great views of both the ocean and the surrounding mountains. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Decks are perfect for relaxing. Our family was doing a SA wildlife vacation and we came to Cape Town area to dive with the great whites. The house served as a good point to launch that expedition from as it was about 45 minute drive from Simonstown. The drive through the mountains was breathtaking, however, and is worth doing even if you have no interest in getting in the cages. Management folks were great and the housekeeper was quite lovely, making quite an impression on the family.”
